June 2022 Development Update

What have we been working on?

The team at Doctor Necrosis has been hard at work the past few months getting the game closer to a public release. This includes adding more building, revising game mechanics, squashing bugs, adding to the game’s lore, adding more items, adding more NPCs, and new ways to prepare ingredients for your cures.

Not all components can just be tossed haphazardly into the brewing station. Some ingredients require preparation first, and for that, we have added the crafting station. This new station allows you to convert materials into ingredients used for brewing.

Every citizen in the game now has a particular schedule every day for where they will be and what they will be doing, but these schedules can be disturbed if they get sick. Any sick NPCs will now stay home until they have recovered or until you have provided them with a cure for their illness. Sick NPCs aren’t able to work, which makes their shop unavailable until they feel better. Make sure to prepare ahead of time in case this happens. If you don’t manage to cure them in time, that’s when our newest NPC makes himself known to the world of Doctor Necrosis. The Elder is an older plague doctor that’s been practicing medicine for longer than you’ve been alive. He is contacted and asked to come into town to save the day, making sure you know that you’ve made a mistake and he had to clean up the mess.
